What happens if I need help asisstance office hours?
We support 24/24 anywhere in Romania. It only requires a call to the phone number mentioned in the rental agreement.
What happens if I return the car late?
Rent is charged for periods of 24 hours, there is still a grace period of 1 hour before being charged for an additional day.
What requirements must I meet to rent a car?
To rent a car you must meet the following requirements: to have a category B driving license valid for at least 1 year.
What documents do I need to sign the contract?
You need a valid driving license, ID and a credit card (Visa or Mastercard).
There are unlimited kilometers?
Our rates include unlimited mileage for rental periods longer than three days in Romania. For periods of 1-3 days applies a maximum mileage of 150km / day, extra mileage charges are paid in an amount between 0.06 EURO / km and a maximum of 0.1 EURO / km, depending of the type of car.
How many drivers can drive the rented vehicle?
The rented car can be driven by the contract holder at no cost and up to 2 additional drivers at a cost of 15E / driver. The details of the additional drivers have to be mentioned at the delivery on the lease agreement.
Can I extend the rental period?
Yes, to extend the period you should contact us at least 24 hours before the expiration of the contrac.
What should I do in case of an accident or if the vehicle has a breakdown?
You must inform as soon as possible AMS Rent a Car at the telephone number from the lease agreement.
In case of accident: you must go to the police and report the accident and obtain the police report and the documents from the ather vehicles and people involved in the accident (insurance policy TPL, registration certificate).
Amicable form are not acceptable.
I will receive the car with full tank?
Yes, all vehicles are delivered with full tank and you must return it in the same condition.
Can tow another vehicle with the rented vehicle?
No, it is forbidden.
From where do I pick-up the vehicle?
We deliver the car at the specified address (office, home, hotel, airport) or you can pick it up form AMS Rent a Car branch.
Can I return the vehicle to another address than the one were was delivered?
Yes, no extra charge is it is in the same city.
Can I remove the seats from the vehicle?
No, it is forbidden to make any modification to the vehicle.
Can I drive abroad?
Yes, but there are special conditions. Please ask for details at office [ at] amsrentacar.ro
Can I drive off public roads?
No, use of the rented vehicle off public roads is a violation of the rental conditions and is exclusion CASCO.
How to make a reservation?
a) Online, in Cars-Prices choose a car by pressing the button 'more details', enter delivery city, date and choose optionals following that in the final step send us billing details and contact;
b) E-mail us email@example.com and please provide the period, city and car model you would like. We will answer in max 1 working day;
c) Call us +4 0770 333 555, an AMS representative will make the reservation on the phone with you.
You can chose several extra options:
a) Child: 5 EURO/day
b) GPS navigation system: 5 EURO/day
c) Snow chaines: 5 EURO/day
d) Roof box: 25,00 EURO/day
e) Sky racks: 25,00 EURO/day
f) Personal driver 8h/day: 35EURO/day/8h
g) Delivery / return in the Airport, Airport tax: 15EURO
h) Delivery / return extra hours: 15EURO
i) Additional driver: 15EURO/driver
j) Mobil phone: 20EURO
k)Internet WI-FI: 20EURO
l) Empty tank return: max 120 EURO, depending on the car model
m) Return in different city (relocation tax): - max 300EURO, depending on delivery and return city distance. The cost is calculated based on the no of kilometers multiplied with 0,3EURO/km
n) Supplimentary insurance SCDW or SSCDW
Also, can occur unpleasant cases of loss documents, keys or damages not covered by insurance, listed below are some of them, please see full details in terms and conditions and exclusions of the contract insurance CASCO
a) Lost key: max 200Euro
b) Lost documents: max 100 EURO/document
c) Lost/damage of plate numbers: max 70EURO
d) Excessive dirt in the vehicle or stained upholstery: max 70EURO
e) Other damages or in the case the vehicle was not returned in the same condition - depending on the cost of bringing to normal
g) Bridge or toll roads fees
h) CASCO excuded costs
Is there a depozit? Can it be paid CASH?
Yes, we block a deposit for each car rented. At delivery is blocked on the credit card and it is unlockes at return if not unpleasant events are during the rental period.
Deposit can be blocked only on credit cards: Visa or Mastercard, is not possible to be paid CASH.

Can I remove the deposit?
Standard fare includes CDW and TP insurance and in case of damage or theft can hold a maximum amount of franchise worth CDW.
There are 2 additional insurance, SCDW or SSCDW, which reduce deposit to 150/300Euro depending on the class but can not eliminate it.
What is CDW, SCDW, SSCDW or TP?
-CDW = Collision Damage Waiver, SCDW = Special Collision Damage Waiver , SSCDW = Super Special Collision Damage Waiver and TP =Theft Protection are insurances plan that reduces or eliminates the Beneficiary's responsibility in case damage:
-CDW And TP is a franchise that reduces the financial responsibility of the beneficiary to a maximum amount, called deposit, guarantee or franchise 300 EURO classes Economy, Small; 400 EURO classes Compact, Full Size, SUV-Economy; 500 EURO classes sedan, SUV, Van, Minibus, VAN; EURO 1000 Full Size SUV classes, Van Full size
In case of accident / damage / theft / vandalism the CDW or TP amount is deducted from the deposit / guarantee, regardless of fault
-SCDW is an additional insurance that reduces deposit / guarantee and default value of 300EURO for classes F1 and G1 and 150euro for the remaining classes. The beneficiary has the option before delivery SCDW paying an additional fee per day, depending on the vehicle model chosen
In case of accident / damage / theft / vandalism consideration franchise SCDW is deducted from the deposit / guarantee, regardless of fault
-SSCDW - Is an extra insurance that eliminates the deductible in case of accident or theft; deposit / guarantee being kept at SCDW values ??for cases in which the vehicle is returned with an empty tank, fines, lost documents or other expenses not included in the rental service.
What are the working hours?
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 to 18 but you can contact us for reservations, deliveries, returns, brackdowns everyday 24/24. For delivery / return outside of working hours a fee of € 15 including VAT.
